Clip Clop Saves the Day!!

The Shoewhorse — Reviews

We’ve been down with a staggering case of Equine Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy for so f.ing long that we almost high-(and silken)-tailed it to that great carrot orgy in the sky, but then Clip Clop wrote in and saved the day!

He writes:

I bought these a long time ago at Ross for like $20, more of a basketball shoe, but slightly “fresh.”

The Mare and I had Mimosa’s on Sunday morning and I decided to give ‘em a go for the few errands we had to run: Home Depot and such. They are a size 12, which is one size to big for me but for $20 I couldn’t pass them up. This makes them a bit clown shoe-ish, especially from top view, but after 4 or so double takes in the mirror I was ready to screech my way around the Depot.

That place is big and we did walk around quite a bit, but these fuckers are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever put on. The high top section, while providing great ankle support from hazards such as runaway carts, was very annoying. Maybe high tops are not meant to be fully laced and velcroed anymore? They also hurt my toes a bit which is strange since they are one size to big.

On the positive side, that great feeling of getting home and kicking off your shoes was unbelievable! I think these shoes can stay in my stable, but maybe only for mowing the lawn. Or maybe I will take out the laces and just use them for maxin’ relaxin’.
